About Poovundo
Poovundo is a small, seasonal flower-delivery service for Onam pookalam committees in Kochi.
Why Poovundo exists
During Onam, committees at offices and colleges make pookalam — flower carpets — usually on the eve or morning of the celebration day. Sourcing the right flowers in the right quantity, handling them, and getting them delivered on time is a recurring headache for the members responsible.
How Poovundo helps
Poovundo takes that burden off the committee. Place a request online, and we deliver the flowers to your location in your chosen time window on your chosen day — priced by weight, at the day's rate.
We're running a trial in select Kochi neighbourhoods this Onam, working with a trusted flower vendor for sourcing and quality. The site handles ordering; a real person confirms every request over a phone call and WhatsApp.
Who's behind Poovundo
Poovundo is designed, built, and run by one person — Muhammed Irshad A J, a software engineer from Kochi. From the website and ordering system to delivery and this year's marketing, it's an end-to-end solo build: equal parts a real flower-delivery service and a project to learn the whole path — product, operations, and marketing — beyond just writing code.
